Head Students 2010-2011

In the week when the nation took to the polling booths to elect a new government HTIS students were also able to take part in a ballot of their own. For the first time students and pupils from Year 3 to Year 13 were given the responsibility to elect the new Head Student for 2010-2011. The candidates had to be proposed by a member of staff; to present their ideas to a whole school assembly and to prepare and distribute a manifesto.

The polling booths were open for two hours; the school took part in a secret ballot; the students on exchange in Boco Prep sent in their postal vote.

The outright winner was Charlotte Needham!!!

The remaining candidates received an equal amount of votes; it was decided that the Leadership Group would interview them and thereby select a Deputy Head Student.

The winner was Rebecca Gregory!!!
