Holy Trinity International School works closely with sports clubs in the region to both promote sporting talent and to encourage our students to reach their full potential in their chosen sport. Year 6 student Peter started playing hockey this year in PE classes and joined the local Stourport Hockey Club.
At the end of the season, 10 year old Peter had gained a place in the Stourport under 12 side and visited Repton School for the Yazoo Midlands Regional Hockey Festival on the 2nd May. His side qualified for this tournament along with 2 teams from each of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire. They eventually won two matches, drew a third but unfortunately lost to the tournament champions.
An amazing experience and Peter now looks forward to the new season and opportunities for personal improvement. Holy Trinity International School would like to thank Stourport Hockey Club for the support and training of so many of our new and established players, including several with County and Midlands representative honours.
