Cardio Tennis
Holy Trinity International School in conjunction with "Tennis Education" is pleased to offer you two exciting Tennis opportunities in the coming weeks. Parents, relatives and their friends are invited to a free session of Cardio Tennis which is a fun activity whether you are a tennis player or not. Secondly, all our students, whatever their age, will be able to take private, or if required group lessons, with the coaches at Holy Trinity School. In the same way that children leave normal classes for music lessons, we would be able to provide them with a Wednesday Tennis session on our recently - refurbished courts.
The Cardio Tennis and performance coaches will be Kirk Woodall and Dean of Stourbridge Tennis Club who gave us a very successful tennis taster day just before Half Term. Both are British Level 4 coaches, passionate about developing tennis in the local community and successful county and nationally ranked players in their own right. For the younger players, both have been trained in the "Belgian Coaching system" with its emphasis on short tennis, rallies and stroke play using balls with less bounce than the conventional ones. We would like to be able to support existing tennis players with a year round programme on our courts which will allow them to develop better skills and so be competition prepared at all stages of the year, and at the same time raise the profile of tennis in the school to be able to compete with other schools and clubs in the future. We feel that tennis training during the day will also be more convenient for players and families, than attempting to train at night during the cold winter months.
